My personal reasons for having a Breast Augmentation
Through my position as a patient and surgical coordinator, I am exposed to many women on a daily basis who would like to “enhance” or improve their outward physical appearance. My conversations with patients reveal that while many would like to please their spouse or partner, many often have procedures performed to please themselves. Whatever their reason, I’m always impressed by how often their self-image and confidence greatly improves after surgery.
Throughout the years I’ve worked in plastic surgery offices, I’ve often contemplated having a breast enhancement procedure. While I thought the results of our patients were beautiful, my decision was a personal one. I was confident that I would know when the time was right. Then, the unthinkable happened. Despite always being fit through exercise and diet, I wasn’t prepared for gravity taking over as I turned thirty. Suddenly, my breasts were losing volume, elasticity, and beginning to drop. It became clear to me that the “right” time was now!
My next decision, and probably one of the more important decisions in my life, was selecting a plastic surgeon. Like many, I began my journey by talking with friends and family who had undergone similar procedures to find out their thoughts on their own surgeons. I then researched several doctors’ credentials and their websites. After consulting with four or five physicians, I selected Dr. Hoefflin for talent, training, but more importantly, his ability to make you feel extremely comfortable and confident about the procedures.
During my consultation, Dr. Hoefflin spent a great amount of time explaining his thoughts on selecting the proper breast implant, showed me similar breast augmentation before and after photographs, and thoroughly answered all my questions. His staff was professional, friendly, and the offices were simply beautiful. At no time, did I feel rushed or feel like another patient.
In summary, I am completely satisfied with what I believe are beautiful results after my breast augmentation surgery. More than just the obvious physical benefits, I feel an inner transformation that has boosted my self-confidence. It doesn’t hurt that I feel like I walk around with the appearance of someone a decade younger than myself! Naturally, I wished I had undergone the procedure years before. However, it was a personal decision, and one that I knew I would be ready for when the time was right.
